Sonnet XIII: The Map of Fractals

A variation of The Map of Constellations, but this time, looking at fallen leaves for wisdom.

Sorrow amidst my leaf-covered walkway
Stagnant timeframes eternally staying
In the dead leaves of tomorrow's longing
Behold what mud-coated footprints convey

Bedecked by leaves that settle on the ground
The earth breathing for the first time's ticking
Clearing the path by my feet's mindless kicking
So long been searching, but nothing is found

I trace along the paths of the leaves' veins
From a source, several reasons exist
Here, where only genius of minds have kissed
Directs my fate made by fine choice of lanes

Each leaf which I lightly touch with my soles
Each count, strong endearment for it to show
